In late 2015, I discovered Global Academy would be opening its doors in September 2016. With having family already living in London, and me living in Liverpool this was an opportunity I couldn’t miss. I went to multiple Open Events and even starred in the first marketing advert that was shown to 16,000 Capital listeners at their Jingle Bell Ball.
This was amazing since I haven’t even started and I was given the opportunity to star in the advert.
I started at Global Academy in September 2016 and in the first term we got to meet Ashley Tabor-King OBE the Founder and Executive President at Global, a big name in the company and industry. Nathan Sykes also came in who we got to interview. I was also allowed to produce the interview in the studio.
On 20th April 2017, Global Academy was officially opened by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry in their Heads Together campaign. I was fortunate enough to work with Heart Breakfast that morning and meet some of the royal family.

I was also fortunate enough to go to events such as The Global Awards, Capital’s Monster Mash-up, Capital’s Summertime Ball, MTV EMAs 2017 and so many more! Also, work experience and trips up to Global HQ in Leicester Square, Capital Liverpool work experience (separate blog post). With doing a lot with the student radio station, Youths Choice (separate blog post).
I graduated from Global Academy on 30th June 2018 and I was awarded a certificate by Marvin Humes. I gained a distinction grade in UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology, course which is equivalent to 3 A Levels.
